Established in 1910, Christ Church is an independent Anglican boys’ school. The School’s Mission is ‘Boys educated to know, to do, to live with others and to be’
(UNESCO, 1996) and is reflected in all we do academically, culturally, physically, spiritually and socially.
Christ Church has an outstanding reputation for inspiring excellence in its students in all aspects of its programmes. The School prides itself on developing the capability of all boys and their educational needs from those who are academically gifted through to students with learning challenges.
We have an impressive co-curricular programme that is varied and broad. The breadth reflects the diverse interests of the boys, including the arts, sport, cadets, outdoor education and many others, too numerous to list. It provides abundant opportunities for all boys to diversify their experiences and develop in confidence.
Our main campus overlooks the Swan River in Claremont – an ideal location for the thriving water sports programmes. Facilities include the chapel, a visual art, design and technology centre, a state-of-the-art information and technology centre, gymnasium precinct and a heated 50m swimming pool.
Christ Church has two other campuses located nearby. Mt Claremont is a sporting campus with playing fields and St John’s Wood is the second campus with playing fields. Kooringal, the third campus is located near Dwellingup and is the centre for the School’s outdoor education programmes.
Our boarders come from country districts in Western Australia, interstate and overseas. The diversity of their backgrounds enriches school life. We aim to give our country boys a city experience and our overseas boys an Australian experience.
