Worawa Aboriginal College educates young Aboriginal women across years 7-10 of their secondary education. A transition school, Worawa offers an educational model that is holistic, integrating academic achievement with cultural and general wellbeing. Students come from Aboriginal communities in urban, regional and remote locations across Australia.
The College is based on the philosophy of ‘Walking Together’ bringing together Aboriginal pedagogy and Western education to assist each student to reach their full potential. Small classes and Personalised Learning Plans address individual needs and ensure each student has the opportunity to progress academically, socially, emotionally, culturally and spiritually.
The College has a partnership program with a number of schools and organisations which provide exposure to and experience of a range of pathways for our students which provide ownership of a purposeful learning foundation for positive futures.
