The Geelong College is a Uniting Church co-educational day and boarding school from Early Learning to Year 12.

Boarding has been an integral part of the College community since its inception in 1861. Our two very comfortable boarding houses are home to a diverse and  inclusive community with students from country Victoria and New South Wales, the coastal towns and farming areas surrounding Geelong, and from Melbourne, as well as  international students. 91% of our boarders say they have mixed with a broader range of people since they started boarding.

Boarding life at the College is designed to develop independence and friendship. Daily routines such as study time, sporting activities and social gatherings are  structured, but boarders have flexibility throughout the week to arrange their own activities. 98% of boarders believe they have become more independent since they started boarding.

Boarders have two hours allocated study time each evening, working undistracted on homework or revision. Qualified academic tutors provide learning support and House Tutors are available for additional guidance.  90% of our boarders say boarding has had a positive impact on their academic performance.

Boarding life at the College is busy, rich and fulfilling. We offer a broad range of courses of study and co-curricular activities including APS sport, an extensive Performing Arts program, expeditions, International experiences and opportunities to serve the community. We pride ourselves on our vibrant learning community and our focus on excellence and care.

Come and experience living and learning with us, phone Deb Fanning, our Registrar, on (03) 5226 3190 to arrange a tour at a time that suits your family. Flexible, weekly or full time places are available from Year 7 to Year 12.
