Ballarat Clarendon College has achieved much in recent years, in the arts, sport, service and academic areas, and staff members continue to strive for excellence in line with the school’s focus statement: Throughout a student’s time at Ballarat Clarendon College our focus is to maximise their competence, skills and capacity so that, at the end of their time at school, when they stand on the threshold of their future, they can choose their “heart’s desire”.
Ballarat Clarendon College has 1400 students in Junior, Middle, and Senior Schools. It offers quality boarding education for 70 female and 80 male secondary students from across western Victoria and southern New South Wales in two separate areas on the Senior campus. Clarendon strives to develop the whole individual by maximising each boarder’s talents in all areas of school life: personal, social, sporting, spiritual and academic. This enables each boarder to look at a range of career options with confidence, and to choose their heart’s desire. The Boarding Houses give young adults a unique place that allows them to feel free, yet safe and cared for, in a homely environment.
The smaller size enables a professional staff to provide boarders with personalised attention and a supportive and compassionate environment that provides access to facilities in technology, music, drama, art and sport. Boarders are able to live in a place which is dynamic, yet very much a place for relaxation and care.
