St Ursula’s College, a Catholic educational and residential community, in the Ursuline tradition, is dedicated to the education and care of young women in Years 7-12. We seek to provide an environment in which each girl is nurtured and offered opportunities for growth and development across a range of areas. Our College has provided boarding accommodation since 1931.
Boarding at St Ursula’s College offers a home away from home where the girls can feel comfortable and relaxed in our newly renovated boarding school that resembles “resort style living”. We care for up to 52 students in Years 7 to 12 who come from regional Australia, communities from North Queensland as well as overseas. Our team of highly qualified staff are dedicated to creating a family atmosphere, where girls can establish good study routines and lifelong friends.
Brescia House is designed specifically for teenage girls. Each floor is different; with each age group in mind. Dedicated common areas for each year group and mini kitchens where girls can prepare snacks. The Health Centre in Brescia is manned part time by professional nursing staff to provide quality care.
The St Ursula’s College experience is built around a deep understanding of how girls think, work and feel. We operate in a a vibrant community that has a strong sense of its own identity as a contemporary Ursuline Catholic School. Our emphasis is on excellent teaching, educating and empowering young women for their future in a global community.
