Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School, including Ipswich Junior Grammar School, offers a high quality, independent and non-denominational education for boys and girls in Kindergarten to Year 6 and girls only from Years 7 to 12. Girls’ Grammar offers boarding from Year 5 (full-time, weekly, casual and day).

Boarders live in Cribb House, a multi-level building that overlooks the city of Ipswich and the school’s extensive grounds. The girls share rooms with either two or four beds and have their own desks and wireless internet for study. Year 12 students have a room to themselves.

Students have an active social calendar and access to a gym, heated pool and many sporting facilities. Boarders also receive personal attention from teaching staff to assist with assignments and homework. The School’s central location makes it a popular choice with parents seeking the benefits of a city-based education as well as a sense of local community for their daughters.

Only a 30 minute commute from Brisbane, Girls’ Grammar is ideal for students flying in to the Brisbane airport as the School offers a collection and drop-off service, and for those students travelling from regional Queensland, they have access to the IGS bus that collects and drops off students throughout the school year.

Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School has a proud record and reputation for academic excellence, with almost all of their Year 12 students being offered a place for tertiary study, as well as outstanding personalised care and an extensive co-curricular program of over 50 activities.
