Why choose St John’s Catholic College?
St John’s Catholic College is a co-educational residential college with a difference. For over 50 years we have been providing a high quality of secondary education in the Northern Territory. St John’s is a multicultural school where friendly Australian students integrate very well with our international students from Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, United Kingdom and Africa. It comprises a community where the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart (MSC) ethos of love and compassion are honoured by both staff and students. St John’s Catholic College is a modern Catholic secondary college that strives to develop its students’ educational, emotional and spiritual well being. It is a place where all individuals are valued.
The College has an excellent reputation for providing education of quality to local and overseas students in a safe environment. Our small class sizes, easy access to teaching staff, online learning facilities and nationally recognised programs enable our students to achieve their goals and career pathways. St John’s Catholic College provides a head-start to international students by offering Intensive English courses to students from non-English speaking countries and offering courses that prepare them for tertiary entrance to university courses.
St John’s Catholic College has two campuses; a Middle School campus (Chevalier campus) and a Senior School campus (Hartzer campus). The campuses are connected by a walkway over the Botanical Gardens. The boys’ boarding facilities are situated on Chevalier campus while the girls’ boarding facilities are situated on Hartzer campus. There are also limited home-stay facilities available for international students.
