Red Bend Catholic College, Forbes, NSW is a Catholic Independent, Co-educational Day and Boarding School established in 1926. The College has a magnificent setting on 35 hectares, surrounded on three sides by the Lachlan River. The spacious grounds include a farm and an impressive array of facilities to support the substantial academic, musical, sporting and technical interests of the students.
The girls boarding facilities have been recently refurbished, providing individual rooms with access to the College computer network. The staff share a commitment to excellence and the development of an integrated person within an environment that is secure, trusting, caring and liberating. The College prides itself on Community spirit, leadership development and nurturing the spiritual faith of our young people.
Approximately 95% of students in Year 7 complete Year 12, with about 70% of those choosing to pursue tertiary studies. Excellent HSC results and UAI scores were achieved by Year 12 students in 2005. The average class size is 25 and the teacher pupil ratio 1:15. Special programs are offered for gifted children, students from non-English speaking backgrounds and those with learning difficulties.
