PLC Sydney is an Australian school for girls, from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12.  Located 15 minutes from the centre of Sydney, Australia’s largest capital city and set on beautiful landscaped grounds, the school is easily accessible from the international airport and city, by both public transport and road. Established in 1888, the College is home to approximately 1200 students and offers boarding to 65 students from Years 7 to 12 within the school grounds. 

The school itself has a strong academic focus, achieving outstanding results across a wide range of disciplines. In 2018, 56% of PLC Sydney students were placed in the top 10% of the State, achieving an ATAR over 90, with 14% of students ranked in the top 1% of the State, achieving and ATAR scores 99. Three of our students achieved the highest possible ATAR of 99.95. 11 students were ranked in the Top Achievers’ List,  earning top 20 places in individual subject areas such as Chemistry, Mathematics, Geography, Chinese, Literature, Business Studies, Drama, Visual Arts, and Music. 5 students were also selected to showcase their major works within OnSTAGE, ARTEXPRESS, Shape and Texstyle exhibition. Overall, PLC Sydney ranked 17th in the State School rankings (as collated by the SMH). Families are kept well informed about their daughter’s progress through the online parent portal.

With its state-of-the-art facilities such as an Aquatic Institute, Performing Arts Complex, Research Centre, Art, Design and Technology Studios and Gymnasium, the College offers an excellent range of co-curriculum activities including Music, Drama, Public Speaking, Debating, Chess and Sports such as Tennis, Swimming, Gymnastics, Diving and Equestrian Riding. As global citizens, our students have access to numerous international exchange and service learning opportunities - the Exchange Program at PLC Sydney is one of the largest in Australia.
