PLC Armidale is located in the beautiful New England region of NSW.

The College, established in 1887 offers tuition for girls’ only from Pre-Kinder to Year 12 for both day and boarding students. PLC Armidale knows, appreciates and understands the specific needs of girls and its programs are specifically tailored to meet those needs. As an all-girls school it offers a boutique educational experience where our small size is our strength. Areas of excellence within the College include consistently strong academic performance, music, sport, leadership and service learning.

We are proud of the more personal boarding experience offered to girls from Year 5. Our team of boarding staff is highly qualified and caring, and share a commitment to building relationships across and within the year groups as well as a passion for our girls to succeed in all they do. We foster a real sense of family and community across the whole school and particularly in our Boarding House, where each girl is known and nurtured. A tangible feature of our extensive Pastoral Care program.

PLC Armidale offers flexible boarding options including casual and weekly boarding, as well as an extended day program that also operates through the boarding house. Each option provides opportunities for meaningful friendships between day and boarding students

Our boarders have a real academic advantage where prep time is conducted and supervised by academic staff members. Our girls are encouraged to be active participants in many activities from sport, to music, art, drama, dance, cattle and equestrian team pursuits, as well as involvement in many community organisations. Our girls’ safety and care is paramount at PLC Armidale where our boarding staff actually transports the boarders to and from their activities and medical appointments.

Our boarders are also encouraged to get involved with the fastest growing activity at the school from Year 9, the internationally acclaimed Duke of Edinburgh program. We also inspire our girls to take on challenges, responsibilities and leadership roles. The Boarding House has its own Student Representative Council consisting of representatives from each year group and plays a significant part in the life of the College.

Our graduates are caring, community minded and humble in their achievements. The majority of our alumni undertake further tertiary studies, particularly in the areas of professional endeavour such as the sciences, arts, law and music.

Girls flourish at PLC Armidale!
