Calrossy Anglican School, Tamworth, is one of the leading educators in regional New South Wales.

Originally a small boarding school for girls, Calrossy is now so much more and this year marks a major milestone for the Anglican school. Calrossy is celebrating 100 years of quality education in 2019.

Calrossy has grown to house more than 1000 students, it now features Primary, Secondary Boys and Boarding, alongside Secondary Girls. The School boasts a unique structure of a co-ed Primary, single sex classes from Year 7 to 10 and mixed senior classes, across two campuses plus a School farm and several boarding sites.

While Calrossy has expanded its enrolments and horizons, its achievements and reputation have also grown. The school has now been the best performing school in the region for three of the last four years in the HSC. It is the only school in the New England/North West to be listed among the State’s prestigious top 150 schools list, released by the Sydney Morning Herald. Calrossy’s results are among the best in the State, with four students placing in the top 10 in the State for their subjects in 2018; and the same in 2017 across a wide variety of subjects from Physics and Biology to Music and Primary Industries.

Calrossy has a proud and long boarding history, with girls and boys boarding on separate sites. Every effort is made for students to feel at home and to provide opportunities for them to achieve to their potential in the academic, sporting and cultural fields. We are delighted to provide parents with the option to have all their children at the one school in the one town – with obvious benefits.

Running under the auspices of the Anglican Diocese of Armidale, throughout a century of learning Calrossy has sought to create a dynamic, caring and Christian environment in which boys and girls may grow to be adults of faith, integrity and compassion and value learning.
